Bill Monroe Music Park is an historic park and campground located in the rolling hills of beautiful Brown County, Indiana. The park is known for its music festivals, rustic setting with many large trees and a catch and release Pastor Baggett Lake. Throughout the park there are several sites where you can have your wedding ceremony, host a reception, renew your vows, or gather with friends and family to celebrate your wedding anniversary.
Historic Bill Monroe Stage – located in the heart of the park, this historic stage has hosted national and international bands for over 50 years. The stage offers electric, minimal lighting, 2 dressing rooms, a small gathering room, small bathroom, and a wraparound deck. There is plenty of room for guests to gather in front of the stage to watch your ceremony, and then have a live band perform for your reception. Size: actual stage is 12’ deep by 34’ wide.
Hippy Hill Stage is nestled in a cozy corner of the park just off Pastor Baggett Lake. It features 2 small dressing rooms, is surrounded by 3 cabins and enough room in front for 100+ guests to gather for the ceremony. Plan your after party at the same location. The Rustic Cabins 6, 7 & 8 are available to rent for the duration of your stay based on availability. Size: actual stage size is 8’ x 16’.
Pavilion – our covered pavilion is a short walk from the historic Bill Monroe Stage. It is covered, has a concrete floor, electric and lights. This area makes for a nice reception area to serve food, or a gathering place for family and friends. It will seat approximately 50-75 guests depending on your seating layout. Tables and chairs are not provided. Size: 60’ x 30’.
Museum - located at the front of the park, the museum holds treasures and memories from past performers who have performed at the park and who had ties to Bill Monroe. Fully air conditioned and heated, this event space is 2,280 square feet, features 2 restrooms and a small changing room. Size: 60’ x 38’. Capacity: 125 guests
Uncle Pen Cabin is located outside the museum. The front porch can accommodate a couple while guests gather in front of the cabin. Available with museum rental.
Restrooms are located across from the pavilion.
Parking is available in our large parking lot before entering the main stage area.
Golf Cart rentals are available for your guests based on availability.
Onsite Lodging: your guests can rent our Rustic and Primitive Cabins, 2 furnished campers, or stay in their own camper in our many campsites located throughout the park.
Bill Monroe’s Homestead is a large 3-bedroom, 2 bath modular home offering plenty of room for the bridal party to get ready, use as a hospitality area for the family or a place to chill out. It features a full-size kitchen, washer & dryer and will accommodate up to 8 overnight guests. 2-night minimum rental.
Setup may begin at 8 am the day of your wedding, loud music and outdoor music must end by 10 pm. You are responsible for your own decorations, clean-up and trash removal to our designated dumpsters and other rental equipment as needed. All rental costs are for 1 day from 8 am – 11 pm.
Historic Bill Monroe Music Stage: $1500
Hippy Hill Stage: $500
Uncle Pen Cabin: $150 (with museum rental)
Bill Monroe Homestead – 2 night minimum $500 + $200 security damage, additional taxes and fees not included.
Wedding Guests: $5 fee for each guest
A 50% deposit is due at time of approved application, remainder of balance due including number of guests is due 30 days prior to wedding date. All rentals are on a first-come, first-serve basis with a deposit.
